Faux Hawks For Men

The faux hawk is a very trendy haircut classified under the mullet hairstyles which first appeared in 80′s and were so much popular then. Nowadays, the old fashioned mullet cuts returned more beautiful than usually to give every man the look which he desires. There are many mullet styles of which the faux hawk is one. They are elegant and trendy as youthful fashion, and they don’t usually restrict you with one hairstyle; they provide more than four hairstyles that depend on layers. The faux hawk is like a Mohawk cut, but the difference is that it is done without shaved sides. It is also not recommended for those who work within a conservative or formal environment as the haircut is usually worn with casual and funky styles.

As I mentioned above, the cut depends mainly on layers. So it is done by tapering and layering the back part with curved lines in order to give a large volume to the silhouette and to keep the crown hair long. After that you can style it by using any hair products to keep the shape; such as a fine hair gel, and by your hands or a round brush you roll upwards to make a nested shape. It is kind of similar to the spike style, but more beautiful and offers you more than one style when done properly. Another matter about the faux hawk trend is that, it matches better with brunette more than blonde colors. However, it can accept some other colors with the main one as highlights or funky shades.
